Nature Trail at Lusty Beg Island
The circular walk of the trail is 1.6km long and should take about 1 hour to complete.

General information on Lusty Beg Island

Lusty Beg is a 30 Hectare (75 acre) oblong-shaped Island with a highest point of 60 metres;

Lusty Beg is located in Lower Lough Erne, which is a deep glacial created during the past Ice Age 10,000 years ago;

The island is dominated by semi-natural deciduous woodland and contains 15 different tree species;

There are over 75 wildflower species on the island although April and May are the best times for woodland flowers;

Lusty Beg hosts large numbers of wild fowl and waders in autumn.
